Raquis is in only its second vintage, a project still very much embryonic, formed by a superstar trio, all previously at Paul Hobbs’ wineries. The concept is simple. To focus on regions, on terroir, and not varietals - blends which coexist harmoniously with the place. Raquis’ commitment to the environment is second to none, and at the core of what they do, believing that a healthy, thriving eco-system is required to produce high quality wines. Careful irrigation and sustainable water programs helps keeps certain, drier areas of the vineyards healthy, whilst they train the younger vines to be totally dry farmed. The winery is fed by gravity, and chemicals are eschewed wherever possible.
