A superb introduction into the mystical beauty of Nebbiolo

What's the style?

Produced from vines grown in south east facing vineyards in the communes of Alba and Roddi. Ageing takes place in 20hl oak botti (a type of Slavonia oak barrel from Croatia, traditional for wines made in Northern Italy) for one year prior to bottling giving a full bodied wine with balanced tannins. A gastronomic and fragrant wine. A 'baby' Barolo, if you will.

What's the story?

In the 80’s Vittorio Monchero, son of Maggiorino, graduated from the college of viticulture and became involved in the business. The crus of Nebbioio grapes for Barolo are situated in the best hillsides in the municipalities of Castiglione Falletto & La Morra. Since the 90’s the vineyards have been completely replanted following the best grafting and training techniques. From pressing to bottling, winemaking and ageing, the cellar is the place where Vittorio Monchiero’s work gives its results to create traditional Langa wines for the lovers of this region who want to “taste”the terroir.
