Brothers Xavier and Pierre-Olivier Precigout took over the running of the family estate in 2006. The name Philbert is taken from their grandmother’s side of the family. The brothers practice the art of distillation and ageing to offer you a different aesthetic experience from the classics of VS, VSOP and XO to the single vineyard vintage and cask finished expressions.


Fearlessness and innovation drive them forward working with nature. From the vine stock to the raw materiel they ensure only the very best cognacs are produced and bottled under the Cognac Philbert label.


Crafted from the land: Dovecote was crafted from rich fragrant fruits for a hearty cognac made from eaux-de-vie blended in oak casks and produced from a single area of vineyard. On a hilltop (the plot with the dovecote) is the ideal exposure for the fruit to reach optimal maturity and where the clay-limestone soil assimilates water regularly in summer.
