New generation Pinotage
Cépage is keen to remove the stigma pinotage possesses in the U.K. Sleighted for being continuously under-ripe with rubbery notes, traditional makers of this native South African grape have given it quite an underwhelming reputation. Wolf and Woman are here to change that!
The vines are dry farmed, old and the winemaking is organic. Granite slopes mean an expressive, confident personality with complexity in abundance. Owner Jolandie Fouché took inspiration from Clarissa Pinkola Estés' poetry work throughout the project, not least the name Wolf and Woman;
“Some days I am more wolf than woman, and I am still learning how to stop apologising for my wild”.
