Household name in Champagne creating a vintage classic
Perhaps only Bollinger rivals Pol Roger for the most quintessentially British fizz. Sir Winston Churchill's 'go to', so much so that he had a cuvée named after him; the flagship Pol Roger. These wines are very much statement bottles, and the vintage wines like this one are supremely elegant showcases of the very best years in the region. 2012 proved to be a low yielding but superb vintage in Champagne, and time will tell whether these wines will be suitible for long term cellaring though rest assured, in terms of drinking now, there are very few vintage Champagnes that will rival this.
