Mature and Elegant White Wine

A phenomenally rare older vintage of the white Mas de Daumas Gassac. Famed for taking themselves out of strict winemaking regulations, the French AOC, in order to experiment with unique styles and blends. Daumas-Gassac themselves advocate cellaring for longer periods of time to release the honied and chrystallysed aromas of ageing white wine, with rich stone fruit and treacle, similar to an older sweet wine, but of course this wine is not sweet.

Situated in the depths of the Languedoc, these low yielding, old vines benefitting from glacial sandstone and a cooler than average microclimate, the freshness and acidity created in the wine's earlier years allows it to stand up to ageing far better than local counterparts.

Please note: These wines have excellent provenance and have been sourced carefully. However, old wine is delicate and every bottle will be different. We unfortunatley cannot guarentee every wine will be perfect and therefore with this particular bottle, we cannot offer any returns for cork or oxidation faults.
