'You don't understand wine until you understand Devevey'

WHAT ON EARTH IS THIS ABOUT?! The winemaker opens this wine a day early before showing it off to potential customers, we in wine refer to this as being 'reductive' in style, unusual for Burgundy because they often suffer from troubles with oxygen and becoming 'oxidised' as they become more mature. There's little chance with Devevey's Chardonnay here, and it's one of our co-founder Harry's favourite bottels on the website.

It reminds him of the incredible, if not extremely expensive wines of Dominique Lafon, of Domaine des Comtes Lafon, situated in the village of Meursault and crafting wines of incredible intensity and power, requiring time in the bottle, or the decanter to open them up; a breath of fresh air, for the wine.
