Robust single vineyard Gamay from low interventionist producer

Only Moulin-au-Vent has more power than the elegantly structured Morgon Cote du Py. Granite is the name of the game here, providing a savoury and metallic wine with soft dark prunes and blackberry fruit shining through. Cote du Py is considered Morgon's 'grand-cru', difficult for wine makers to get their hands on. Cote du Py becomes ever more interesting the older it gets!

Cotes de la Molière is one of Cepage’s exclusive domaines, situated in the crooks of Beaujolais. Owned by Isabelle and Bruno Perraud (Maison Perraud), the Domain represents many of Beaujolais cru and some southern Burgundian wonders. Isabelle and Bruno work with many grape varietals and are prone to experimenting, though the core wines are wonderful expressions of the regions, from Morgon and St Amour to Bourgogne blancs and St Veran.

We were attracted to the Maison because of the minimal interventionist approach, sustainable ethos and the passion behind the wine, with the owners taking responsibility at all parts of the winemaking process. In addition, we love Isabelle’s commitment to inclusivity and gender equality on social media. Truly interesting and brilliant value wines that we are proud to represent.
