Complex and Rounded White Wine

Ever heard of Merlot Blanc? Well, you have now. A wine paying hommage to the wine history of Saint-Émilion. You always think red when it comes to the Right Bank of Bordeaux, however historically the majority of wines made here were white!

Château Vieux Taillefer have decided to produce this wine as a Vin de Table, or table wine, simply to illustrate the region's humble beginnings. For us, it's hugely complex and elegant, with only 2000 bottles made per vintage, it's also very rare. A blend of 5 varieties to gain added complexity and huge intensity, the average age of the vines being 75 years. A wine capable of ageing for 20 years plus!

Merlot Blanc, Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc, Muscadelle, Chasselas
